a space to feel heard

Sometimes life can feel overwhelming. Challenges arise that can be difficult to navigate, and along the way we may carry thoughts or feelings that prevent us from living fully. At times, we might not even be sure what’s wrong, only that something doesn’t feel quite right. Counselling offers a safe space to explore those feelings and begin working toward positive change.

My name is Chris, and I am a counsellor supporting individuals both in the Bristol area and online. I believe everyone has the capacity to grow, flourish, and make meaningful changes in their lives. Whether you’re seeking therapy during a time of crisis or wanting to explore ongoing concerns, my aim is to provide a compassionate, non-judgemental environment where you feel heard, understood, and supported.

I have experience working with:

  • Stress

  • Anxiety

  • Depression

  • Relationship difficulties

  • Bereavement and loss

  • Low self-esteem

  • Life transitions

  • Finding meaning and purpose

  • Intrusive thoughts

…as well as many other challenges you may be facing

what to expect from my approach

I am an integrative counsellor, with a person-centred approach at the heart of my work. I believe we all have the capacity to work through difficulties when offered the right support and understanding.

Life often surrounds us with advice or opinions we haven’t asked for, which can make it hard to turn to those closest when we’re struggling. Sometimes what we most need is simply a safe space to feel heard.

I offer a space where your voice is valued, your experiences are understood, and you won’t be told what to do. Instead, I walk alongside you as you explore challenges, uncover new perspectives, and build confidence and self-awareness. Together, we create the conditions for you to feel empowered in who you are.

Much of my work focuses on self-compassion, as I believe many struggles stem from being overly self-critical. Developing self-compassion helps strengthen self-esteem, challenge unhelpful thoughts and beliefs, and move toward greater peace with yourself and the world around you.

Alongside a person-centred foundation, I integrate elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), psychological education and mindfulness. These approaches offer both insight and practical tools for navigating life’s challenges.

I bring warmth, authenticity, and non-judgment to every session, offering a confidential space that invites you to explore concerns and begin your journey of healing and growth.

I offer both open-ended and time-limited sessions, depending on what feels most helpful for you. Each session lasts 50 minutes and is charged at £55.
